13th Regional Travel Fair Day 1-3: A Journey Through SOCCSKSARGEN
DAY ONE at the 13th Regional Travel Fair:
Arrival at General Santos City!
Strikers Travel Corp.’s COO, Ms. Marinel Javier, was part of the delegation participating as one of the Buyers at the Tourism Promotions Board Philippines 13th Regional Travel Fair held at the “Home of the Champions” and Tuna Capital of the Philippines, General Santos City! ✨
A warm welcome awaited as the team arrived for registration at the General Santos International Airport. We were then transferred to Greenleaf Hotel Gensan for a delicious lunch and briefing for Day 2: the B2B session, which would take place at the same venue. Afterward, the Buyers checked in at the Grand Summit Hotel Gensan, where we stayed for the next two days.
DAY TWO at the 13th Regional Travel Fair:
AM B2B Session and PM Welcome Dinner
The day kicked off with a productive B2B session, fostering fruitful exchanges between sellers and buyers. Beautiful presentations from Region XII, SOCCSKSARGEN were showcased by distinguished tourism officers. This engaging session took place at Greenleaf Hotel Gensan, where the team also enjoyed delicious meals.
In the evening, delegates arrived dressed in their best weave-inspired attires for the Welcome Dinner held at Grand Summit Hotel Gensan. Exciting prizes were given away, and a sumptuous dinner was served, including General Santos City’s pride—Tuna! 🐠 It was a wonderful evening that wrapped up a productive day. At Strikers Travel, we are thrilled to explore and add SOCCSKSARGEN’s emerging destinations to our travel offerings!
DAY THREE AND FOUR at the 13th Regional Travel Fair:
RTF Proper at SM City General Santos and Tour!
The excitement continued with the opening of the B2C event at SM City General Santos. After lunch, the delegates went on a tour to experience the beauty of SOCCSKSARGEN, including the renowned Lake Sebu and the Tboli Trade & Crafts, also known as Cowhed Tboli Tradecrafts.
On the final morning, delegates visited the thriving Tuna Enterprise at the General Santos Fish Port, one of the city’s most prominent industries, before heading home. 🐟
It was a memorable and productive event that will surely be etched in our hearts! We are grateful for the opportunity to meet new industry friends and partners, and we thank the Tourism Promotions Board Philippines and the Department of Tourism – Philippines for their continuous support of tourism stakeholders.
